By the end you'll
- Know the difference between "Get a reading" and "Practice reading"
- Complete one practice round from start to finish
- Understand how XP, ranks and question levels work
Picture a fortune-teller's shop. In "Get a reading" you are the querent, asking about your own life, and Redar reads the cards for you. In "Practice reading" you sit on the reader's side of the table: the app sends you a practice querent with a question, you turn the cards, write your reading, and the AI teacher marks it.
How to do one practice round
- Choose a level. If you are just starting, pick Lv1, which uses a single card.
- Read the querent's question and sum up, in one sentence in your head, what they want to know.
- Tap the card to see its keywords and meaning, then pick the one or two that fit the question best.
- Write a reading of 2–5 sentences. It needs at least 50 characters to earn XP.
- Send it to the teacher. Read "What you did well" and "What to add", then try the next question.
Answering a Lv1 question
Question: Should I message the person I have a crush on first today?
Cards: The Fool, position Message of the day
Sample answer: The Fool is about new beginnings and courage. Today is a good moment to reach out first, casually, without expecting too much. Start with something small that is easy to talk about, and don't rush to pour out all your feelings at once.
This answer has three parts: the card's meaning → linked to the question → advice the querent can actually follow.
XP, ranks and question levels
- You earn XP every time you submit a reading. Harder questions, better scores and more cards earn more.
- Once you have enough XP, pass the promotion test to move up a reader rank. There are 6 ranks, from The Fool (Traveller) to The Sun (Grandmaster).
- Higher ranks unlock harder questions and new spreads.
- Your plan sets the highest rank you can reach. XP earned above that cap is still saved.
Tip: Answering the same question again within 7 days earns no XP. Tap "New question" to practise on a wider range.
Summary
- Get a reading = someone reads for you. Practice reading = you are the reader.
- A good answer: card meaning → link to the question → advice
- Start at Lv1 with one card, then move up
