Lv4 · Timing and advice that works

Use elements, signs and suit pace to estimate timing, then turn the reading into a plan the querent can follow.

By the end you'll

  • Combine timing signals from several cards into one window
  • Turn obstacle cards into things to prepare
  • Finish with a plan the querent can start right away

Level 4 uses the 7-card Horseshoe. The querent wants to know "when" and "what should I do". A good reading gives a time window you can justify and a plan that works in practice. (Read the lesson "Elements, Astrology and Timing" first.)

  1. Note the timing signals of every card: suit, zodiac sign, ruling day
  2. Find the window where the signals overlap most
  3. Read the Obstacles card as what to prepare before that window
  4. Sum up as a 2–3 point plan the querent can start right away

A 7-card Horseshoe with timing

Question: When this year would be the best time to move abroad for work?

Cards: Three of Wands, position Past; Two of Wands, position Present; Eight of Wands, position Near future; Four of Cups, position Hidden influences; Six of Pentacles, position Others around you; Five of Pentacles, position Obstacles; The Star, position Outcome

Sample answer: Three Wands stand out, so this matter moves fast. You have been planning it for a long time (Three of Wands, Two of Wands). The Eight of Wands (late Nov – early Dec) marks the period when news and paperwork move quickly. The Star in the Outcome position corresponds to Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18), a good window for the actual move. The hidden influence is the Four of Cups: you may be hesitating because you are bored rather than because you truly want to go, so get clear with yourself first. The obstacle is money (Five of Pentacles). The plan: 1) from now until November, save an emergency fund of at least 3 months; 2) late Nov – Dec, submit your documents; 3) plan the move for Jan – Feb.

Every time window given is backed by a card, and the reading ends with a workable plan.

Weaker answer: You will definitely be able to move in February.

Stronger answer: The cards point most strongly to around Jan – Feb, provided you build up an emergency fund first.

Give a time window with conditions, not a fixed prediction.

Tip: For investments or large sums of money, never give a definite answer. Talk about readiness and warning signs, and recommend speaking to a qualified professional.

Summary

  1. Find where the timing signals overlap
  2. Obstacles = what to prepare
  3. End with a 2–3 point plan
